After five years in our current office our lease has come to an end and SCSN will now be moving a whole 130 yards to new offices at 34B North West Thistle Street Lane EH2 1EA, which Google maps advise it will only take two minutes to walk to from our present office. As with all our partners and members, SCSN needs to look at ways it can make short and long term savings and the new offices (following minor adjustments) will provide improved meeting and training accommodation allowing us to reduce associated costs and provide key services.
Before you panic we are not centralising our services; SCSN will continue and potentially expand the training and events opportunities available across Scotland by working collaboratively with partners, such as local authorities and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to source free and reduce cost venues.
On reflection, it is strange looking back to our move here five years ago when all our belongings fitted into a transit van. How SCSN has grown over these years means this move will be a little more complicated and require real removers!!
The move is scheduled to take place the week beginning 16 May 2016, hopefully all will go smoothly but as you all know IT systems are sensitive to change.
